“State of the Art” Workshop Series

Latest addition : 15 October 2007.

This Workshop Series will provide, for each identified topic, a summary and detailed overview of current trends, theories and field research in ICT policy. The framework for this Series is designed to assist ICT policy UNITAR practitioners in securing the most relevant and up-to-date information while also providing the academic community with feedback from the field. As a result, distinguished instructors and practitioners from around the world will develop an innovative codification of knowledge for a fast moving field. The objective of this model is to successfully transfer the most relevant and timely information to training participants. The proceedings and materials of each workshop serve as a basis for curricula developed for subsequent trainings. The first “State of the Art” Workshops will focus on the issues of e-Democracy and Cyber Security.

Other topics can include: identity management, mobile solutions for governance, transparency in governance, anticorruption efforts and ICTs, personal data protection, e-elections, local government e-solutions, Internet governance, Free and Open Source Software (FOSS).
